Digital Citizenship

When teaching lessons for this course, and simply teaching with technology in general, the knowledge of Digital Citizenship is vital to my teaching. As a second grade teacher, I must be very circumspect that my students are safe on the internet and genuinely understand and utilize the principles of digital citizenship. Creating the digital citizenship assignment for ED 505 helped me in many ways. As the group facilitator, I was charged with the responsibility of compiling all of our information onto our Weebly. As a result, I am now familiar with Weebly and able to use it in my classroom. The assignment also helped me because I now have a digital citizenship resource to show my students as they learn about digital citizenship, as well as to refresh my own memory.
